Job Summary

 Assess the available data across the business to assist our decision-making process, allowing us to drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Cleanse current database to produce clean and usable datasets
  • Ensure pricing sheets are kept up to date with the latest data from suppliers
  • Ensure up to date pricing and stock levels are imported into order management on a regular basis
  • Ensure channel automation within the order management is set up correctly and monitored on a regular basis
  • Monitor our systems to ensure the business is always provided with quality data and first-class reporting
  • Conduct customer, competitor and product analysis to enable informed business decisions
  • Identify and ensure all relevant data is incorporated into analysis to ensure a comprehensive view of sales behaviour
  • Conduct analysis that provides valuable insight to address business issues
  • Deliver analytical projects to specification and deadline
  • Develop and improve existing reports and techniques
  • Go beyond the numbers and investigate trends and market behaviours and provide recommendations based on the analysed data
  • Ensure insights drawn from business system are accurate and actionable, propose changes where relevant
  • Ensure the wider team have actionable insights to steer future developments

Required Skills and Experience 

  • Ecommerce experience
  • Knowledge of data manipulation techniques
  • Highly competent in data manipulation using spreadsheet and database applications
  • Data driven and customer oriented
  • Understands and can apply analytical and sampling techniques to answer business questions
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Good commercial awareness
  • B2C experience is preferable but not essential
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail, speed and accuracy are essential
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Self-motivated, driven and hard working
  • Passionate about animals and ideally owns their own pet
